Stretch and Mobility Clinic!
I recently attended this stretch and mobility clinic with Coach Emile and if I were able to give it over 5+ stars, I would! I have been dealing with a herniated disc as well as a tight/stiff lower back and this is just what the doctor ordered. Coach Emile took his time to explain the "science" or the "why" behind how individuals experience knots and stiffness throughout their bodies whether it be through the breakdown/build-up of muscle tissue, incorrect posture, hyperextension, and/or lingering injuries. He then led a stretch clinic showing the correct way to use a foam roller to reduce soreness and decrease injury before and after a workout. Finally, he took the time to show us how to use simple tools such as a tennis ball to target trigger points throughout the lower back and between the shoulder blades to aid in mobility throughout your body. This session was not only free it was informative. If you are struggling with getting more active due to work/family demands, time, I HIGHLY suggest you checking out one of his classes on either Thursday nights or Sunday afternoons. He truly takes the time to learn you, your body/ fitness goals, reminds you of your, "WHY" and holds you accountable. Did I mention his classes are 100% virtual and he offers personal training sessions as well? Do yourself a favor and get yourself a coach that cares. Thanks, Coach Emile!
